A Wheelchair ramp is an inclined plane installed in addition to or in place of stairs.  Ramps permit wheelchair users, as well as people that struggle with steps, to more easily access your home.

A wheelchair ramp can be permanent, semi-permanant, or portable.  Permanent ramps are designed to be bolted or otherwise attached in place. Semi-permanant ramps rest on top of the ground or concrete pad and are commonly used for the short term.  Permanant and Semi-permanant ramps are usually of aluminum, concrete, or wood.  Permanent ramps will sometimes require a permit from the local building department.
